Stay in The Straw Lodge at Fordhall Farm

Built by the community for the community, our welcoming eco-building provides an inspiring base for people to learn about low-impact, organic farming. It also showcases  environmentally-friendly and traditional architectural techniques.

With accommodation for 25 or room hire for 50, we look forward to welcoming school groups, Scouts, Guides, wellness retreats, corporate away days and other organised community groups.

Summer Leisure Break Offer: 

We are delighted to be able to offer our beautiful Straw Lodge to you and your family / friends on selected summer dates.

The Straw Lodge is not normally available for private leisure hire, so this is a great opportunity for this summer. You have farm trails on your doorstep and the farm shop a hop and skip away, or you may decide to order a prepared meal from our chef!

With this beautiful eco-build to yourselves and places such as UNESCO World Heritage Site Ironbridge and the Shropshire Hills on your doorstep, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the farm and share it with your nearest and dearest.

In addition to providing residential accommodation in Shropshire for school groups, Scouts, Guides and other community and organised groups, The Straw Lodge can also be hired out as a space for instructor-led/public access day retreats, workshops and corporate away-days.
